Announcing New Board Chair, Jacky Hardacre

Citymoves Dance Agency is delighted to announce that Jacky Hardacre has joined us as the new Chair of our Board of Trustees. 

Jacky is Chief Executive at Scottish Youth Theatre, a Scotland-wide young artists’ development organisation. Her career has been characterised by roles that have steered organisational change, always in arts and cultural contexts and socially engaged work with children, young people and communities. Through her cultural leadership roles, Jacky has gathered knowledge and experience across a diverse range of sectors and disciplines including regeneration, health and wellbeing, heritage, arts across the school curriculum and a major capital development project. 

Jacky thrives in supporting others to achieve their ambitions, training as a mentor and coach, and achieving accreditation as a Relational Dynamic Coach in 2024.

As part of her tenure as Creative Learning Manager at Aberdeen City Council, Jacky held management responsibility for Citymoves when it was a council service and supported the transition for the company to become an independent organisation.

When asked about her decision to take on this role, she said, 'I am delighted to be reigniting my association with Citymoves through taking up the role of Chair. I've always admired the varied strands of work the company delivers, intersecting professional development, performance, learning, health and community practice. Citymoves is a vital creative resource for Aberdeen and the North East, and I'm looking forward to supporting the organisation and the fabulous staff team in the next period of development.'
